Magnolia on Detroit Apartments consists of two four-story buildings built in the 1920’s and four three-story buildings built in 1970. The complex is situated in the Detroit Shoreway Neighborhood west of downtown Cleveland, Ohio. The six buildings combined include 126 apartments. Magnolia on Detroit Apartments provides housing for families, seniors and individuals with disabilities.
The entire complex was completely renovated from top to bottom in 2015, with improvements centered around the needs of the residents that resulted in beautifully updated apartments with all new kitchens, bathrooms, paint, flooring, and appliances. A new 2,500 square-foot community building includes a modern community room with full kitchen, an exercise room, computer lab and a playground. Laundry facilities are completely updated, and ample parking is available which includes designated handicap accessible parking spaces.
There are 96 one-bedroom units ranging from 483 to 576 square feet of space and 30 two-bedroom units ranging from 594 to 816 square feet of space. The units on West 80th and West 83rd Streets are “flats” or “garden” style apartments in a two and a half-story walk up building. The two Detroit Avenue buildings are serviced by an elevator. There is an intercom system to notify residents of guests at the entrance of the building.
